How do I start Live Webcasting?
Contact ICV to manage your webcasts
We know how to live webcast. Long before your event our web developers are busy deploying a media portal for you. We host and manage the entire IT infrastructure. We brand it and populate it with speaker bios, documents, pPowerPoints or other content. We setup user registration for your audience with best practice encryption and security. If it’s a corporate event, we securely locate the web content according to your corporate guidelines. We coordinate with your staff and the host venue to assure adequate Internet connections and proper live webcasting room setups. We verify scheduling with your presenters and collect all presentation PowerPoints.
Once the event starts, our Media Portal and custom HTML 5 Video Players allow us to stream conference PowerPoints synchronized with your Live Web Video. Live moderated chat can be enabled. Associated documents are included in the Video Player for download. Detailed reporting provides the metrics you need. While the live stream is running we are also archiving the webcasts for later on-demand viewing. Do you archive your webcasts? You should..
This year ICV provided webcasting not only all over the US, but in Europe, Asia, and South America. We streamed multiple live webcasts from Shanghai, Mexico City, Brussels, Kuala Lumpur, Washington DC, Madrid and other locations in the US and abroad. No matter where in the world your event is, We make travel arrangements and arrive at least a day before your event.
Our conference webcasting can cover large conferences or summit events incorporating dozens of breakout sessions over many days or, single room Townhall / All-Hands meetings at your offices in the SF Bay Area, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, or the Washington DC Metro area and beyond.
Your live webcast can be Audio only, Video only or Video and synchronized Powerpoint slides. Do you have synchronized PowerPoint slides the viewer needs to see changing in real time? Are there multiple speakers or sessions? We arrange the equipment, crew and develop and deploy the website and Media Portal as needed.
We travel to your location wherever it is before the event and test the provided internet connection for speed and stability. We assure the venue is prepared with lighting, staging and the proper in-room audio and video. If you need us to provide A/V or cellular connectivity, we do this before the event.
Our web developers deploy the interactive media portal that will be the streaming video destination website for your viewers. The Design and branding is completed. We add your required features including any login or security. User registration and management, speaker or agenda listings, sponsors, any domain name requirements.
We connect our encoding computer to your source. The source is typically one of our HD cameras, or our video switcher that allows us to switch multiple sources to be webcast live. Or a computer, a digital device such as the display output of a medical or technical diagnostic device, or an audio only source.
To send the live webcast stream to the audience we employ encoding software to take the data from the input device and convert it to a streaming format. The encoding process compresses the signal making it possible to send very high quality audio and video over a reasonably fast broadband internet connection.
The encoded signal is sent out to the Content Delivery Network and out to our Streaming Servers. To assure delivery to all devices the webcast signals, or “streams” are assembled in a container such as Mpeg4, FLV and WebM to sit the various mobile and desktop devices viewers may use to watch your live webcast. The stream is delivered from our streaming server to the video player on the viewers device using a transport protocol, such as HLS or RTMP depending on the device that is detected at the viewers end.
The compressed and encoded live webcast broadcast is sent via the internet connection out to our Content Delivery Network (CDN) which has redundant servers located all over the world. Each server acts as a duplicate broadcast point for your webcast. When a viewer opens your webcast page, that request is directed to the data center closest to them. By directing your audience to the nearest data center, we cut down the time it takes to deliver your live webcast stream to them.
As the content is being encoded and broadcast we are simultaneously recording it in HD and archiving it to our servers. If you choose to do so we provide an archive of hosted past live webcasts as “on-demand” webcasts. You can then share or sell each webcast presentation, or incorporate the presentations into e-learning courses or bundles of content.
With live webcasting, you can reach anyone, anywhere, at a very low cost to you and to them. Our included media portals offer integrated on-demand video archives, too. It’s all automatic. Let your audience watch our content, or buy it, at their convenience. All a user needs is access to the internet!
The cost of live webcasting and on-demand streaming is far less than an in-person event, and the return can be enormous. Reduce and even eliminate costs of travel, hotels, renting the venues, and the other costs associated with a traditional event, by hosting it just once, or by hosting it entirely online.
Using webcasting in conjunction with a traditional event creates a hybrid event that potentially increases your reach and audience. Whether it’s for pay, communication, or informational, a consistent interactive webcast is always more memorable, gives more value to the attendee, andcan live on to deliver that message again and again.
Your online audience an be engaged directly, and can therefore enjoy the same experience as an in-person attendee, with our social webcasting media portal. See synchronized slides, participate inchatting and polling, ask questions, read materials, and more.
All hands meetings, Shareholder reports, Executive messages and panels are all great reasons to webcast. Reduce travel expenses and increase involvement with flexibility to access content anytime.
